Burn More Calories

Boxing engages all your muscle groups and involves bursts of high-intensity exercises- so you can burn more calories.

Improve Your Coordination

Learn to move your hands and feet in explosive, powerful motions while staying balanced, engaging your core and improving your overall coordination.

Strengthen Your Body

While also getting your heart rate up, punching with intention, as though you are hitting a target, will engage your muscles - strengthening your arms, back and core.

Relieve Your Stress

Much like a ‘runner’s high’, boxing can produce a rush of feel-good endorphins and relieve muscle tension - so you can punch away your daily stress!

About the Class

Our boxing classes for women offer a total-body workout including cardiovascular conditioning by incorporating boxing movements that focus on speed, intensity and agility. These boxing moves will engage your arms, core and legs, strengthening your whole body and improving your coordination
The class is paired with the Curves hydraulic resistance machines, which are designed to create resistance that intensifies with effort – making our boxing classes perfect for all levels of fitness. Plus, you’ll be equipped with our experienced Curves Coaches, who will be with you every step of the way.

How Curves boxing classes for women help you get strong and toned

Curves women’s boxing classes follow a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) format that uses both type 1 (slow twitch) and type 2 (fast-twitch) muscle. This helps to strengthen muscle more efficiently than a workout performed at a steady intensity and it also burns more calories – further helping you to help you to tone and trim your body.

Another great benefit to the boxing classes at your local Curves club is improving your balance by working your core. Boxing is one of the best workouts for engaging muscle groups simultaneously and with its focus on a strong core, it’s an excellent way to improve balance and posture. What’s more, boxing moves like jabs, upper cuts and a variety of kicks, help to improve your agility along with being a lot of fun to learn!

All Curves classes follow the traditional Curves circuit format which works every major muscle group with strength training, aerobic exercise, and stretching. With our boxing class, you’ll work out for 30 seconds on each strength machine and in between, you’ll box at high intensity for 30 seconds. After completing two rounds of the circuit, you’ll cool down with a full body stretch.

If you’re new to Curves or to exercise, consult with your Curves Coach before trying the class. And as this is a high-intensity workout, you should consult with a physician if you have a medical condition such as heart disease or type 2 diabetes before joining your first women’s boxing class at Curves.
