The Curves Circuit is set up in a circle, where you move through stations to work every major muscle group. Alternating between Curves’ machines and intervals you perform on an exercise mat, you engage in a program that includes strength training, cardio, and stretching. A Curves Coach is with you every step of the way to make sure you get the most from your total body workout.
What are Curves Machines?
By targeting specific muscle groups, Curves machines help you get stronger. Here are three examples:
The ab/back machine helps strengthen your core, which is important for posture and balance. Core muscles are some of the first to weaken as we get older, and a strong core keeps us mobile and standing tall.
The leg extension/leg curl machine works your quads and hamstrings. Strong legs make so many daily activities easier, from kicking a soccer ball with your family to squatting down to pick something up to taking a walk with your dog.
The chest/back machine works your chest and back with a pushing and pulling action. A strong back helps improve your quality of life by helping you more easily lift things or take part in daily activities.
Does Curves Offer Classes?
Cardio: A higher-intensity class that incorporates strength, cardio, speed, power, coordination, flexibility, and agility.
Boxing: A higher-intensity class that combines cardio, strength, balance, and coordination in a boxing framework.
Body Basics: Medium to lower-intensity class that uses functional, strength-based movements emphasizing the core, arms, and legs.
Balance: Lower intensity class that improves balance and helps strengthen your core.
